It is also a function on the move, which regulatory, geopolitical and societal changes place more and more at the crossroads of the strategy and everyday action of the Bank and its customers, and has to ensure the security of the Group, its business lines and territories, which implies adapting to the growing demands of regulators, customers and public opinion.

Compliance has 3.400 employees over the world, working over the five following expertises : Know Your Client, Group Financial Security, Personal Ethics, Market Integrity, and Protection of Interests of Clients (PIC)

In the context of the Compliance 2020 strategic plan, the Function has decided to create a Hub in Lisbon to host various transversal operational activities, with a focus on EMEA scope.

The Lisbon Compliance Hub is currently recruiting a Senior Project Manager. The main purpose of this role is to support the ramp up of the Lisbon Compliance Hub platform, in close coordination with the head of Lisbon Compliance Hub, Paris project Teams and Lisbon support functions.

This project manager will report hierarchically to the Head of the Lisbon Compliance Hub.

Actively contribute to the ramp up of the Lisbon Compliance Hub :

By acting as local facilitator for global initiatives from Head-Office

By working closely with all Lisbon Support functions in order to anticipate any issues or constraints that may put at risk the expected ramp up (IT, Facility Management, Finance, OPC / BCP, Human Resource )

By participating to Smartsourcing initiatives steercos (when relevant)

By following-up implementation of activities

By raising alerts to his head and Paris Smartsourcing Project Team in case of issues and proposing solution

By identifying opportunities for further mutualisation between teams or for further improvement in processes operated by the Hub

By ensuring that the services are described and properly documented in SLA documents, with relevant details, especially on the roles of different parties.

By contributing to the Lisbon Compliance Hub reporting

Actively contribute to the Finance Performance Management of the Lisbon Compliance Hub

By ensuring that the monthly Staff reconciliation is conducted in a timely manner by each Manager

By analysing the reports provided by Local Finance versus Budget figures

By providing on a quarterly basis the applicable allocation keys for invoicing and reporting purposes

By maintaining a track record of the invoices submitted to each beneficiary

By supporting the Local Managers in any query raised by the beneficiary related to the invoices

By supporting the Lisbon Head of the Compliance Hub in the preparation and delivery of the Pre-Budget and Budget processes in coordination with Compliance Finance Onshore and Local Finance

Responsible for the team management :

By recruiting candidates, providing adequate training / coaching, defining responsibilities and setting individual and collective objectives in line with relevant operational policies

By assessing performance regularly and providing recommendations on compensation and objectives

By providing guidance, training and support needed to achieve objectives

Responsible for managing stakeholder relationships :

By acting as the Compliance Hub correspondent in line with the Territory Competency Centers Committee’s Governance and in any matter appointed by the Head of the Lisbon Compliance Hub

By maintaining regular communications with the Paris Project Team

By informing regularly his / her management and providing monthly activity report and contributing to any other reports required by the management

Experience of 5 years in the banking industry / advisory

Solid project management experience

Compliance culture would be considered a plus

Fluent in English (both oral and written communication)

Understanding of French also an advantage

Excellent team spirit

Ability to work with different cultures and multidisciplinary teams

Communicative and self-confident

Risk oriented profile with strong analytical and investigation skills, strong attention to details

Rigorous, well-organized with a structured and logical approach

Reliable and with a good conduct approach

Ability to work within a change process environment

Client focus (both internal and external), creating synergies between different interlocutors
