Nacelle Front structure is a part of the Vestas Technology & Service Solutions. We have sites both in Denmark and India.
The department is responsible for the nacelle front which consists of large casted structural components taking the wind load to the tower including the yaw system which support this loads transfer while it also orients the nacelle to maintain rotor upwind.
Working with the casted components under the NLE system is a multiple competence challenge for a mechanical engineering as you will have to master casted iron components, bolt connections and contacts in general.
All these with a full value chain perspective. In the department we are responsible for design and analysis from the early concept study for new turbines to the final specification for production.
Additionally we are also looking ahead to verify new technologies such that these can be part of future turbine projects..
