We are looking for a talented analyst, with experience in fulfilment / warehouse environments. You will be part of the Fulfilment by Farfetch team, and be the main lead in bringing structure and unit cost control to the team, overseeing the all unit costs relating to operational change and savings agenda, ensuring accurate reporting, and working with the 3PL’s and Operational finance teams to prepare the yearly budget for each warehouse.

What you’ll do :

  • Be the main link between the Operational Strategy / Finance teams, Fulfilment teams and 3PLs being reasonable for, and understand the unit cost by site, including modelling and analysis related top operational change.
  • Drive transparency and alignment on 3PL and warehouse cost performance including providing unit cost forecast to Operational Strategy team & assessing 3PL actual costs to forecast to ensure partner accountability, liaising with the Finance and Logistics teams to accurately reflect latest trends and insights.
  • Continuous challenge of unit costs with the 3PLs and cost savings agenda within FxFF to ensure planned improvement projects are sufficient to deliver business targets.
  • Work with 3PLs and Fulfilment Operations team to prepare the unit costs to input to the yearly budget for each warehouse.
  • Be responsible for the data and reports from each 3PL and WMS to ensure that the data flows into the required Farfetch systems.
  • Working with the Fulfilment Operations team and 3PLs model the expected impact of warehouse productivity or layout (configuration) improvement projects including cost / benefit analysis and ROI on warehouse investment e.
  • g. investment in mechanisation and automation.

  • Ad-hoc unit cost modelling, analysis and insights on savings initiatives and any cost KPIs needed to feed into business cases.
  • Close relationship with Operational finance teams for alignment on the unit cost impact to wider budget.
  • Full ownership of FxFF operational unit costs and accurate reporting to Operations Strategy, Fulfilment Operations and 3PLs.
  • Have end-to-end high level knowledge of FxFF architecture and systems including that of the 3PLs, and partner effectively with Tech and Product to bring forward new solutions for financial reporting within the FxFF network.
  • Works closely with other Logistics teams (Delivery, Supply Chain, Operations) to ensure projects align and do not conflict in objectives, providing weekly reports on cost to enable the Fulfilment Operations team to manage the 3PL contracts.

  • You have a proven track record of success, working as part of a project team delivering on complex projects.
  • You have experience with stakeholder management - excellent communication, influencing, negotiating and relationship-building skills
  • You have knowledge of ecommerce / retail market
  • You have strong fulfillment finance experience
  • Project management experience
  • Proven experience of thinking strategically and innovatively and to turn that thinking into a viable plan
  • Ability to work collaboratively and efficiently with large groups of people
  • You are a creative thinker / problem solver
  • You are able to travel once a month, if required
  • You think analytically - able to interpret opportunities, trends and issues in data and market information
