Kemper offers a 24-month market building program for new sales managers designed to grow long term business with focus on recruiting a team of independent sales agents.

This is not an independent contractor position. Our sales managers are Kemper employees with benefits including health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance and 401(k).

  • Positions will be remote in Nashville / Knoxville, TN with some desired workplace flexibility. Must be willing to travel to the local office for business meetings and training if within reasonable driving distance.

    PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Training, mentoring, and motivating a team of independent sales agents
  • Sourcing, attracting, interviewing, and selecting quality individuals to join your sales team
  • Conducting field training and joint field work with your agency team
  • Leading sales meetings and orientations for new and tenured sales agents
  • Supporting health insurance prospecting and sales activity; including building and maintaining relationships with business owners, HR professionals and other decision makers
  • Supporting corporate culture that thrives on high energy, competition, collaboration, and fun
  • Developing and maintaining broker relationships
  • MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS :

  • Health sales insurance experience
  • Experience building and leading a team
  • RECOMMENDED JOB SKILLS :

  • Sales management experience; open to leaders without formal management experience
  • Knowledge of Medicare market
  • Sales recruiting experience
  • Competitive spirit / drive
  • Ability to lead and motivate sales teams
  • Knowledge on how to prospect / lead generation
  • Strong work ethic
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel
  • Hands-on sales experience exceeding sales targets
