Intercompany Accountant (M / F)

The Company

E-commerce company is recruiting for the position of Intercompany Accountant (M / F).

What you'll do

Reporting to the Accounting Manager, you will drive the required process and policy amendments that are necessary for prompt, worldwide and smooth execution on the standards.

You will have an important role for the accountancy of our company, working together with the whole team to achieve the goals for the monthly closing.

You will be the main point of contact for Intercompany in Accounting with other locations and teams, responsible for end-to-end process such as, reviewing and verifying intercompany charges and postings, resolving out of balance amounts to achieve to the reconciling of Group Intercompany.

  • Prepare and record all necessary type of Intercompany journal entries for all entities in the group (both entities and cross-group), as well as supporting documentation.
  • Guarantee that revaluation (FX) process in intercompany accounts is carried out
  • Raise Intercompany invoices and cross-group posting
  • Determines and support the teams in appropriate Intercompany accounting details (e.g. GL accounts, Dimensions, Transaction Type, Posting Profile, etc.), when required
  • Performs preliminary and final Intercompany reconciliations for all locations (monthly)
  • Resolves intercompany reconciling items within month-end reporting timelines
  • Support month-end and year end close process, and provides data to Internal and External Auditors
  • Intercompany Policy maintenance
  • Guarantees that controls are carried out, are working efficiently and promptly and are sufficiently reviewed on a timely manner;
  • Who you are

  • A bachelor or master degree in accounting or economics;
  • At least 3-5 years experience in Intercompany Accounting and / or General Accounting and Reporting activities
  • Strong drive for results, including proactive problem resolution skills in delivering stringent deadlines;
  • Proficiency in conveying information efficiently and across departments;
  • Outstanding writing aptitude and capability to organize presentations and papers;
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken is mandatory;
  • An Excellent team player with the ability to interact with different departments;
  • Considerable knowledge of spreadsheet software and basic computer systems, Microsoft AX will be a plus;
  • Demonstrated ability to perform accurate numeric calculations;
  • An Excellent communicator;
  • Dynamic, with high sense of responsibility and autonomy;
  • Previous experience in the online retail business is a plus.
