Lisbon, Portugal EuropeDevelopment TeamFull-timeApply for this jobAs a Quality Assurance Engineer at FreeBalance you will be responsible for assuring and improving the quality of a web based application using quality assurance software tools and processes to track and report on issues, enhancements and certify correct behavior of software applications.
Must be eligible to work in Portugal, and hold a valid work permit.
Main Responsibilities :
Evaluates and tests new or modified software applications according to functional specifications and description of functionality to attain quality of the software.
Creates and updates user oriented documentation for new or modified software applications according to the functional specifications defined for them.
Supports project teams remotely and on site when required to do so.
Identifies differences between established standards and delivered applications, and suggests modifications to conform to standards.
Performs Quality Assurance activities supporting software development through its complete SDLC.
Works with company’s standards, procedures and software development methodologies and documentation.
Plan and manage its own activities.
Propose software enhancements to product and project teams and report bug fixing requests for development team.
May propose process enhancements regarding Quality Assurance activities and SDLC activities in general.
Develop test automation scripts for software user interface based on test cases.
Follow-up and manage test automation environments. Analyses testing procedures logs and report subsequent bug fixing requests for development team.
Define the scope of testing within the context defined by management.
Plan, operationalize, and manage the testing effort for any given engagement.
University graduate in Computer Science, Commerce, Business Administration or related field.
Familiarity with web-based applications.
Knowledge and understanding of Software Quality Assurance, Control and Measurement.
Able to read, analyze, interpret information and create documents in fluent International English.
Familiarity with Scrum / Agile methodology would be considered an asset.
Familiarity with public financial management, accounting concepts, human resources concepts or ERP systems would be considered an asset.
Organized, responsible, able to work within a diverse team from other countries and time zones.
Goal oriented, able to meet tight deadlines, multi task and work independently.
Experienced programming using a mainstream language and working with an IDE.
Broad understanding of SDLC concepts such as : version control, continuous integration, development branches and distributions.
Experienced programming in test automation tools would be considered an asset.
Experienced programming in Java or Python languages would be considered an asset.
