The Team :
The Farfetch Finance team is rapidly expanding as we continue to drive exciting change across the business. The team mainly sits across the London and Porto offices and look after accountancy, FP&A, treasury, tax and corporate development.

The Role :
This role provides an opportunity for the right candidate to join the global Farfetch Treasury team, within an exciting and rapidly expanding Technology / Fashion business.
This is a newly created role within our Portugal team joining a Treasury team consisting of five individuals across London and Porto.
This role will report into to the Head of Treasury in London. Primary responsibilities of this role will be management & oversite of accounting requirements in relation to Treasury activities, and provision of relevant analytics on other key Treasury activities.
What You’ll do :
Manage weekly treasury bank reconciliations of all Treasury accounts and related Treasury transactions within the TMS.
Treasury activities include : cash investments, Debt Funding, Foreign Exchange Hedging, Foreign Exchange Swaps and Intercompany funding;
Ensure monthly treasury bank reconciliation of all Treasury accounts and provision of all accounting entries to accounting team for month end processes;
Manage application of IFRS9 Hedge Accounting requirements, including : completion of monthly revaluations & accounting entries from TMS, completion of Hedge Accounting documentation, and other financial reporting disclosure requirements;
Analyse transactional & translational FX gains / losses within financial accounts includes monthly validation of P&L, and the assessment of end to end accounting treatment of systems in relation to recognition & revaluation of foreign exchange transactions;
Guarantee intercompany funding including maintenance of loan statements, interest calculations, accruals and loan documentation.
This will require regular liaison with all relevant stakeholders including Intercompany Accountant, Entity Accountant and Tax & Local finance teams;
Provide reporting & analytics of monthly Treasury Trial Balance validations includes : Interest, FX Gains / Losses, Cashflow forecasting accuracy, Working Capital analysis and Hedging accuracy & effectiveness;
Provide monthly financial information to relevant financial institutions and stakeholders;
Develop and guarantee on-going maintenance of accounting configuration & set-up with TMS;
Develop and guarantee on-going maintenance of Treasury Accounting manual & procedures. This will include training & support to the Finance Operational team as required;
Assist Head of Treasury, Cash & Foreign Exchange Treasury Manager with ad-hoc strategic objectives or projects work as required;
Provide support, advice and development to Portugal Treasury team and analysts.
Who You Are :
A qualified or part qualified Accountant;
Have strong knowledge of Treasury Accounting & Foreign Currency Accounting IAS39 and IFRS9 requirements;
Minimum 3 years Corporate Treasury experienced in a similar role or position;
Have previous experience within multinational / multicurrency corporate environment;
Have strong communication & stakeholder management skills;
Driven / Ambitious and self-motivated individual;
Abile to work in fast paced technology sector, and embracing towards changeable working environment & priorities;
Able to identify issues and develop solutions against strategic priorities and tactical / operational considerations;
Have strong analytical skills;
Highly organised and an able to meet deadlines;
Have previous experience using TMS and / or ERP (beneficial but not essential).
