PORTUGUESE SPEAKING PROCUREMENT MANAGER PORTO, PORTUGAL
Our client in the industrial and pharmaceutical field is seeking a Portuguese speaking Procurement Manager to join their Supply Chain Department close to Porto.
Manage purchase and logistic departments and collaborate with all departments in the organization;
Develop strategies and implement them to make sure that costs savings and supplier performance targets are met;
Train and supervise the work of the other members of the team;
Overseeing and managing the company's overall supply chain and logistics strategy and operations.
Planning at a tactical level to ensure mid-term clarity of direction;
Forecast levels of demand for services and products;
Keep a constant check on stock levels;
Source for the best products and suppliers in terms of best conditions and quality;
Negotiate contracts and follow suppliers performance evaluation;
Deal with factors as sustainability, quality assurance, risk management and ethical issues;
Make reports and statistics on spending and saving;
Attend meetings and trade fairs;
Understand the KPIs, analyse, plan and implement actions to improve Purchase KPI’s;
Build & develop the team towards constant improvements on quality and productivity KPIs;
Ensure agents receive the training needed to meet the overall KPI's and their individual targets;
Ensure suggestions to improve systems, processes, training and communication is provided to Purchase;
Develop and maintain a good working relationship with key stakeholders to improve processes that affect satisfaction or streamline business processes,
Ensure a high level of communication with key stakeholders,
Ensure a high level of motivation amongst team leaders and agents to manage employee retention and satisfaction.
Experience of 5 years in Purchase, preferably in Medical devices;
Degree in supply Chain Management, Logistics or similar field.
Fluent in Portuguese and English, mandatory (written / verbal),
Availability for domestic and international travels;
Excellent cumputer skills;
Excellent computer skills (excel, word );
Management knowledge of the business and management principles involved in strategic planning, coordination of people and resources;
Excellent knowledge of supply chain processes;
Excellent organizational and project management skills;
Detail and process orientated;
Autonomous & flexible;
Ability to collaborate with mid and senior management across the business;
Ability to think holistic and take holistic decisions, based on what is best for the business overall;
Ability to motivate & coach the team to consistently improve customer service KPI’s;
