We are looking for a self-motivated deep skilled Agile Coach to work with 2-3 of our scrum teams, and help them with their agility to benefit the business.
While the role is that of a senior scrum master, we would eventually like to see this person work as a change agent, not just for the team but also to help the organization achieve its Agility goals.
Agile experience :
Good knowledge of Agile implementations variations like Scrum, Kanban, Lean and identify what suits best for the team
Working knowledge of implementing agile at various levels of maturity.
At least 5 years of experience in working in different agile projects
Working knowledge of JIRA
Experience in working in multiple teams facilitating scrum of scrums and its variations in teams
Help teams realize dependencies early in the day and resolve the same.
Coaching & Facilitating :
Has helped Identify the training programs for the team members; coach and mentor team members to develop agile capabilities, self-organization, etc.
explain benefits and scrum principles to the product owner and team where required.
Plan for capability development, identify training initiatives needed across multiple teams, and organize for the same
Good experience in helping build a sustainable team focusing on high-performing teams, needs around soft skills.
Act as a mentor rather than a leader for the team for the current role
Vast experience in working in different types and combination of scrum teams being technology agnostic
Identify dysfunctions within the team and help resolve the same either by the team or by bringing it to the notification of leadership at the right time.
Day to Day engagements with the teams :
Collate metrics to track progress within the team and also if needed provide an overview to senior stakeholders.
Effective scrum ceremonies the focus should be to make the teams self-sustaining for all scrum ceremonies.
Resolve any issues that may arise; escalate critical issues to relevant stakeholders for resolution
Requirements Gathering :
Facilitate all interactions that the team has with the Product Owner to gather and prioritize the requirements; review documented requirements as shared by the Product Owner
Check the product backlog to ensure all requirements are captured and weekly reviews on the product backlog are conducted;
conduct training for the Product Owner on the format and need to write user stories, maintaining the product backlog, etc.
Understand the environment and dependencies which can impede the team; facilitate the conversations between the product owner and the team to clarify user stories, priorities and ensure that the team is able to determine the duration and design without any interference
Facilitate meetings to ensure efficiency; protect the team from external influences
Soft skills :
Good communication skills both written and oral
Coaching and mentoring skills focus on empathy and engagement
Conflict resolution skills and proven track record of working with multi-diverse teams
