The WW Service organization within the Materials & Structural Analysis Division (MSD) of Thermo Fisher Scientific is committed to delivering a world-class customer experience for the entire life cycle of our products.
We are looking to add a Service Market Development Manager to support the strategic development and evolution of market development programs which will generate service revenue and margin growth as well as customer engagement.
This role will require cross function collaboration, including but not limited to Service Product Management, BU business development, Finance, Service sales, product sales, sales enablement, demand generation management and service operations.
The Service Market Development Manager position is a high-output marketing leadership role, responsible for developing new business opportunities and revenue growth strategies for service.
Reporting into the Sr. Service Sales Enablement Manager you will both develop and execute service market development strategies.
In this position, you will work closely with stakeholders in Divisional marketing, Service Marketing, Business Units, Sales, Field Service, Central Service, Finance, Service Innovation and various functional disciplines.
An ability to engage with others constructively, and manage relationships successfully, in a highly collegial culture is essential.
This position is ideal for a candidate with both a strong marketing / sales and analytical background who has successfully developed and executed targeted business development programs for B2B technology markets and customers with complex buying cycles.
Demonstrated success developing and executing global business development plans is desired. The candidate selected will be expected to quickly understand the Service business strategy, market focus, customers, products, value proposition, and competitive points of differentiation, and work closely with all relevant stakeholders to ensure appropriate alignment of service sales and marketing efforts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Execute go-to-market strategies for new service product introductions (NPI) and market expansion
Drive and support development of sales support materials and content
Drive and support the development of compelling messaging and content for new product launches, nurturing campaigns, and other marketing initiatives
Develop and present commercial training programs to the sales channels and other stakeholders
Drive development and presentation of service product training programs to the sales channels and other stakeholders
Develop and drive targeted strategies to increase service revenues
Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to track marketing / sales success
Develop plans to enhance key performance indicators (KPIs)
Collaborate closely with service sales channels
Provide feedback to assist in the definition of service offerings
Other projects as assigned
Minimum Requirements / Qualifications :
University degree in a relevant marketing field
10+ years of experience in marketing / sales in a high tech, capital equipment, B2B environment (at least 2 of which should be in marketing / sales of services)
5+ years of experience with international organizations & customers
Project management and planning skills necessary, analytical with attention to detail
Strong communication and presentation skills; including good written English skills
Comfortable interacting with varying levels of internal and external audiences
Willing to take calculated risks to achieve success
Marketing acumen in developing marketing strategy and managing global programs that serve targeted markets in North America, Asia and Europe
An ability to quickly grasp divisional business and Field Service strategy, and translate those into supportive business development programs and plans that deliver quantitative results and business value
Demonstrated ability to work cross functionally at all levels, including close work with technical, sales, product marketing, and business management positions
Strong leadership and an ability to influence without authority, inspiring diverse teams to meet overall divisional goals
Willing and able to travel domestically and internationally
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Power Point, Word).
Familiarity with ERP & CRM systems (Microsoft Dynamics is a plus)
Familiarity with BI reporting
