ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a Marketing and Communications Coordinator, who will help coordinate, execute, monitor, and measure the company’s marketing and communications efforts under the direction of the Marketing and Communications Director.
The individual should be an excellent writer and communicator with a broad marketing skillset, including experience in social media and graphic design, and some familiarity with working within an integrated marketing communications framework.
The ideal candidate will be a team player who is energetic, organised, creative, and self-motivated to join our busy commercial team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in the development of marketing and communications campaigns for company and partner products and events.
Coordinate and execute e-mail campaigns, meeting deadlines, following timelines, and ensuring uniformity of content / messaging.
Help develop on / offline marketing collateral that aligns with brand standards, tone, values, accuracy, and consistency (i.
e., brochures, promotional flyers, posters, presentations, articles etc.)
Review and ensure quality of marketing distribution lists, create lists as needed
Design and edit graphics for print or web as needed
Coordinate the publication of company e-newsletter
Help keep association website up-to-date
Help plan, write and schedule social media posts, articles, and marketing and sales collateral
Create e-mails, digital links, landing and splash pages to assist in direct marketing efforts.
Write and edit newsletters, emails, and other communications as assigned.
Track and report email analytics
Maintain compliance with all anti-spam laws
Lead analysis and reporting of email metrics and take corrective action when needed
Help plan and organise trade events, work with vendors and staff to produce required content and collateral.
Assist management of vendor relations and budgetary aspects
Help coordinate the production of video content for company website, product / training materials, and YouTube channel, including scriptwriting, production / post-production with third party vendors / designers / production companies.
WEBSITE MANAGEMENT
Co-administrator of content management system (CMS)
Work with staff and subject matter experts to develop relevant, meaningful content and maintain association content strategy and web standards
Work with staff and web vendors to continuously improve the usability, design and content of the association’s website
Help monitor and report regularly on website analytics and take corrective action when needed
Help prepare and monitor website budget and managing vendor relations with web development companies
Work with vendors to troubleshoot problems with the website and respond to user requests and comments
SOCIAL MEDIA
Help coordinate and execute social media campaigns and ensure alignment with overall marketing objectives and company mission / values.
Experience and competence with Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram required.
Manage social media editorial calendar and post valuable, shareable content regularly, ensuring association is positioned as an industry leader online.
Monitor and report on social media outreach, including weekly and monthly reporting.
Manage vendor relations and budget for social media efforts and social media management tools as required
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, or journalism preferred
At least 2 years’ experience in marketing or communications
Fluency in English in addition to Portuguese required (additional languages desirable)
Excellent writing skills with an emphasis on writing for the web and social media
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines on time and strong attention to detail
Graphic design skills and experience with Adobe Creative Suite : Photoshop required, other Adobe products beneficial)
Knowledge / experience working with Email marketing / automation services, such as Mail Chimp, or Constant Contacts.
Knowledge / experience working with social media management applications, such as Hootsuite or Loomly
Experience working with Monday.com in particular in a CRM and / or project management capacity.
Some knowledge of HTML, PHP and Java Script an advantage but not essential.
