Within the European Corporate Hub (ECH) located in Lisbon, we are looking for an Assistant Relationship Officer (RO) to support with managing the relationships with our corporate clients incorporated in several European countries.
International clients and trades are at the core of BNP Paribas strategy and the team will be key in providing these clients with an harmonized and best-in-class service.
Your mission will be to support the Bank s relationship management of certain subsidiaries of the groups international corporate clients as Assistant RO in an innovative, digital and industrial way.
As an ECH Assistant RO, you are part of Corporate Coverage, within Global Banking Portugal. As an Assistant RO you will be part of an exciting new platform! Playing an active role in the development of the team, sharing knowledge on best practise and having a teamwork mindset are required!
Your Main Activities Are
The Assistant RO will help on ensuring a high quality service to the Banks corporate clients, supported by several teams (Due Diligence, Client Service, Credit Analysts)
The Assistant Relationship Officer adds value by contributing to transversal projects
More specifically, the Assistant RO is responsible for supporting the Relationship Officer in the below tasks
Servicing corporate clients digitally via phone, email, chat and visio
Ensuring that the business is performed in alignment with the groups One Bank strategy
Acting in a product neutral manner in the best interest of the clients and of the BNP Paribas group globally
Ensuring that compliance rules (Know Your Customer + Fight against money laundering and Terrorism Financing) and all BNPP regulations for client intake and client servicing are observed, as well as any local country regulations
Participating in the credit process and follow-up on credit decisions
Ensuring data accuracy
Profile and Skills to Success
Fluent in English + mastering another Foreign language would be a plus
University degree, preferably in Finance or Business Administration
Ability to communicate, interact and engage with clients, ability to express yourself in a clear and impactful manner.
Sense of responsiveness and quality of service, attention to details
Good understanding of general economic principles, Compliance and Credit for Corporates
Flexibility to participate in a start-up project
Ability to navigate in an international network and work in a team
