DEIMOS is looking for an experienced engineer to lead teams in developing the complete (or subsets of) avionics subsystems for space vehicles.
DEIMOS was founded in 2001 and currently employs over 400 persons over five countries. DEIMOS is a satellite operator and provider of end-to-end space systems including Earth Observation and with leading roles in Space Transportation, Active Debris Removal, Space Surveillance, Exploration, EDL, etc.
The company capabilities include mission definition and systems engineering; developing ground, space and user segment; integration and overall validation, launch and operations, commercial exploitation, etc.
This position is in the Flight Systems Directorate, which is currently expanding its portfolio to include complete avionics subsystems.
The technical areas included in avionics subsystem are AOCS / GNC, OBSW, Operations and FDIR, Test Benches, Testing, and Database.
The successful candidate will lead, from a technical and programmatic perspectives, projects involving more than one of these areas and throughout the complete lifecycle (or parts of it).
Main Duties :
The successful candidate is expected to :
Required : A recognised engineering degree (Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, Electronic) or a related degree (e.g. Physics)
Desired : Systems and / or Project Management recognised training / certification (accompanied by associated practical experience)
Professional Experience :
Engineer with :
At least 3 years of experience in the actual practical development and testing of systems in at least one of any of the avionics technical areas (not cumulative, in space or not)Deep knowledge of European space market, both institutional and commercial, its main players processes.
