The position as Category Manager Mobility Services & Advisory Services gives you an exciting opportunity with a global responsibility for Siemens Gamesa’s spend in Travel and Fleet (Mobility Services) and Management Consulting, as well as Tax, Financial, and Audit Services (Advisory Services).
In this role you will be directly reporting to Siemens Gamesa’s Head of Indirect Material (IM) & CAPEX. You will be managing a cross-country team of Buyers.
In this role you will :
Manage the procurement employees in the Mobility Services & Advisory Services teams of IM & CAPEX
Attract, develop and retain your team’s talent pool and further advance its capabilities and skill set.
Develop and implement global supply & commodity strategies in the area of your responsibility.
Identify and manage procurement risks, opportunities and market forces to avoid potential damage and to exploit potential opportunities through tailored actions
Lead global tendering, contracting, and supplier activities, such as supplier introduction, qualification, and development.
Secure global pooling synergies in Mobility and Advisory Services are realized across Siemens Gamesa, and with other pooling partners such as Siemens AG and Siemens Energy
In close alignment with the Head of IM & CAPEX and your peers, develop the pooling strategy across all IM categories (beyond Mobility & Advisory), coordinate external pooling efforts and manage the interface to pooling partners
Synchronize sourcing strategies with IM Region Managers and their staff, and support them in implementing regional commodity strategies related to Mobility and Advisory Services
Ensure reporting and controlling of defined information and figures such as spend forecast and savings reporting
Develop, initiate, lead and / or support improvement initiatives in the area of your responsibility, e.g., definition and roll-out of company-wide processes and digital tools in Travel booking & reimbursement
Represent IM & CAPEX in the interface with senior management of relevant cross-functions such as Finance, Tax, Audit, and general senior management, and with other Procurement teams and leadership
What you need to make a difference
Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change. We are also looking for
A successful university degree in a technical and / or commercial area.
Approximately 7 years of relevant working experience in Procurement, Consulting, Finance or other technical or commercial areas;
experience in digitalized procurement processes and systems would be beneficial.
Excellent managerial and communication skills for interacting with internal business and external collaboration partners as well as suppliers at CxO level;
you also need proven people leadership skills for managing a cross-country and diverse team.
Broad experience and understanding of value & supply chains, preferably in the areas of Mobility Services and / or Advisory Services.
Strong analytical and planning skills; ability to translate the supply chain, market & supplier environment into a global category strategy & roadmap
Easy-to-approach and connective personality; inspiring and positive mindset.
Proficiency in English (C1) both orally and in writing.
Flexibility to travel approximately once or twice a month if needed (post pandemic).
