Responsibilities
Development of best-in-class service solutions for wind turbine powertrains (gearboxes, generators etc.) using innovative technologies and provide technical support to service teams
Drive and execute on strategic service projects related to predictive maintenance of powertrain, continuous improvement processes of this, cost out initiative, etc.
Ensure the quality, the cost-effectiveness, and the maturity level of service solutions considering legal requirements, design standards, and customer expectations
Assume different roles in project teams e.g., providing support to the technical lead having the full technical project responsibility.
In some cases assume the Technical Lead role
Support scheduled service by maintaining SII, SIF, SWI etc., improve documents quality, support the implementation of improved solutions, ensure timely excection of tasks
Contribution in development of in-house competencies, improve internal knowledge sharing, Excellence in tasks and projects execution around powertrain service solutions respecting the operational strategy
Creation and reviewing of technical specifications for powertrain components e.g., Component Requirement Specifications, Technical Supplier Specification (TSS), Technical Purchase Specification (TPS), etc.
and provide technical support to the technical writers
Analysis of field powertrain performance data, product improvement and implementation of service solutions in cooperation with components manufacturers
Qualifications
Bachelor or Master's degree in Drive respectively Power Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
5 years+ of experience within the Wind Business in Powertrain or Power Engineering with focus on generator and gearboxes
Experience in design and specifications in compliance with relevant international standards e.g., IEC, ISO, AGMA, etc.
Knowledge on wind turbine generator and gearbox design, skilled basic mechanical design calculations, material properties, etc.
Knowledge in 3D-Modeling and 2D-drafting e.g., using CREO parametric / PDMLink will be beneficial
Experience in servicing and working on Electrical main components such as Generator for wind turbines
Skilled knowledge and experience with standard Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, etc...)
