Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization :
adidas Shared Services in Porto delivers high quality services for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Retail Accounting, eCommerce Accounting and other Finance processes as well as HR Services for adidas companies located in Europe and Americas.
Ensuring correct and daily execution of key responsibilities in the adidas Global Business Services Center according to the requirements of the company Accounting Manual for specific area of responsibility.
Key Responsibilities :
Perform daily activities such as creation and invoice processing between adidas subsidiaries in Europe and Americas
Check Intercompany differences between Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable and check related payments
Clarify differences on the postings
Balance Sheet Reconciliation
Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices
Identify the improvement opportunities and support their implementation
Support the team on ongoing projects for the implementation of technology solutions
Support requests from partner Finance departments and other teams within GBS center
Establish and maintain strong financial controls over the work performed

Solid Accounting Knowledge
Experience in SAP is an advantage
Experience is Shared Service environment is an advantage
Ability to read, write and communicate in English in a business setting
Ability to pay close attention to detail and high degree of customer orientation
Problem solving and analytical skills
Self-motivated and self-directed individual
Availability to travel for periods of 1 to 3 weeks
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications :
University degree in accounting, Finance, Economics or related areas
Work experience in the accounting / business area is a plus
