Responsibilities
Our team is responsible for developing tools, processes, and manuals related to the transportation, installation / construction, and maintenance / service of wind turbines (onshore / offshore). It's our job to :
Guarantee "safety first"
Define, plan and coordinate technical project activities ensuring an interface with internal and external stakeholders to support project delivery within the overall project timescales and targets
The contributor who leads to defining new procedures and tools required for Transport, Construction, and Maintenance, supporting product modularity and scalability whilst promoting continuous improvements initiatives
Participate in field testing to validate new procedures and tools, whilst in close collaboration with the Technicians
Deliver quality solutions on time and cost
Make sure the Nacelle and its components are designed for transport / construction / maintenance (efficient solution across the value chain : tool cost, processing time, and effort)
Run feasibility studies, select concepts, design tools / processes, validation though FEA and physical tests
Ensure that market requirements and best practices are included in WTG design
Find better solutions in the market and promote partnerships with the supply chain
Qualifications
M. Sc. Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering or similar
Competencies
Good technical project management skills with proven evidence of making decisions and coordinating projects
You have a good understanding of different design / process tools (DFMEA, PFMEA, process mapping etc.)
Proven leadership of design and cross-functional teams
Good commercial awareness to maintain a focus on cost, and quality whilst handling risk
Supplier Management, comfortable with developing of components / tools based on Technical Specifications in a fast pace industry
Team-oriented person
Motivated person, hands-on person
Engineering, production, supply chain, transport / installation / maintenance tools, handling of wind turbines or other large components in other industries
Highly capable of capture engineering requirements, define and control project scope with deliveries on time and with Quality
Highly capable of planning the work, delegate and follow-up
Good theoretical and practical knowledge of mechanical / manufacturing processes
Good understanding of Design for Manufacturing / Assembly / Service concepts
Experience in 3D modelling and 2D drawings, PTC Creo Parametric preferred
Experience with PLM software, PTC Windchill PDMLink preferred
Experience as structural / mechanical designer with knowledge on calculation and FEA, ANSYS (Workbench)
Knowledge about testing setups, design validation plans and associated documentation. Tool certification
Good understanding about ECM (Engineering Change Management) and it's impacts across the value chain
Offshore knowledge is an added value
Good English skills, written and verbal
