With a fleet of 1.000+ vehicles, Indie Campers currently operates over 40 locations across Portugal, Spain, France, Italy (+ Sicily & Sardinia), Germany, Netherlands, Switzerland, Belgium, Croatia and opening more destinations at any moment.
Following the path of expansion of Indie Campers’ traffic acquisition and sales efforts, we are hiring a Head of Marketing .
As part of our Sales team, reporting directly to the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO), this role aligns people management skills with analytical and creative orientation and an enormous Sales drive.
As our Head of Marketing, you’ll manage the Inbound Marketing, Performance Marketing and Brand areas, with the respective Team Leads reporting directly to you.
The position is based in Indie Campers’ HQ in Lisbon.
We are looking for a dedicated and highly experienced Head of Marketing with a clear growth and sales-oriented mindset, who is inspired by Indie Campers’ mission of democratizing road trips, enabling the freedom of movement and connecting travellers worldwide.
Your commitment, problem-solving approach, market drive, people-orientation and proactivity will play a critical role in the achievement of high-performance results from sales, customer satisfaction and cost efficiency perspectives.
You will be responsible for Key Performance Indicators within these three categories for all the channels and teams you will develop and manage.
What you ll do :
Define, develop and implement an integrated Marketing strategy across all customer touchpoints and channels;
Lead the Inbound, Performance and Brand Team Leads , setting them up to produce outstanding results and coordinating their activity and structure;
Acquire customers (demand) and van owners (supply) resorting to an optimized channel mix at a cost of acquisition aligned with the company’s budget and KPIs;
Generate, increase and manage Sales from all marketing channels ;
Own all inbound and outbound, digital and traditional channels of user acquisition , constantly bringing in new strategies to increase revenue, customer satisfaction and decrease costs;
Define, develop and implement an integrated marketing and sales reporting system , generating and distributing relevant, straight-to-the-point yet detailed reports and dashboards to higher management and to all the Marketing teams to inform the decision-making process;
Own, coordinate and improve the processes and efforts in SEO, Paid Search, Paid Social, content, PR, partnerships, outreach, social media, email, brand and sales campaigns, events, affiliation, referral, public profile, TV and other relevant media channels across the 10+ core markets the company operates in;
Establish, manage and develop relationships with all other internal and external stakeholders within the company, namely Revenue Management, Marketplace, Product & Technology, Customer Excellence and Operations;
Define and manage the annual Marketing budget and its allocation across people, services and tools;
Analyze consumer behavior and determine customer personas , identifying opportunities to reach new market segments and expand market share;
Set up an integrated system for competition monitoring across various metrics, markets and channels (traffic, acquisition, fleet, resources, pricing changes, as well as new products and features);
Work with the Revenue Management team in defining the company’s pricing strategy and execution ;
Work with the Product & Technology team in defining product iterations and improvements across all areas of the company;
Work with the Customer Excellence team in defining ways to improve the customer experience based on real user feedback and data, as well as internal stakeholders’ insights;
Own, alongside the Brand lead, the results concerning the brand’s notoriety and awareness across different channels against the competition in each market, holding responsibility for being number 1 across all key geographical markets;
Define processes and growth strategies for the launch and development of the company’s rental marketplace alongside the Marketplace team;
Produce, monitor and evaluate KPIs for the Inbound Marketing, Performance Marketing and Brand teams, as well as individual ones for the Team Leads and their respective monthly performance assessments.
Who you are :
Degree in Business or any related field;
A minimum of 5 years of experience in leading marketing and sales teams in environments of business expansion and / or internationalization;
Permanent sales drive and orientation;
Extensive experience and knowledge of SEO (technical SEO, content strategy, link building) and SEA (performance marketing / paid channels) teams, processes, services and tools;
Experience with Google Ads and Paid Social platforms;
Extensive experience in growing a brand across multiple geographical markets and channels;
Hard focus on real performance and not vanity metrics;
Great experience with reporting and dashboarding tools, with excellent reporting skills;
Experience with tag management and analytics solutions, such as Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager;
Understanding of the wider role of the Marketing team and the Sales department within a growth-stage, international company, being able to ensure a seamless connection between Marketing and all the other key teams and departments;
Excellent team management (teams of 10+) and outstanding communication skills;
Extensive business acumen, organization and analytical orientation;
Amazing stakeholder management skills, both internal and external;
Proactivity and problem-solving skills with a can-do attitude ( get stuff done mindset);
Previous marketplace or OTA experience is a much valued plus;
Permanent testing mindset with full attention to detail;
Fluent in English (fluency in additional languages, namely German, is a valued plus);
EU work permit.
