We have an opening for an Accounting Clerk in our Shared Services organization in Porto. This position will assist with the day-to-day functions of the accounting department, with a focus on accounts payable.
Handling of processes in accounts payable, with vendors’ invoices analysis and verification and correct input in SAP (with and without purchase order).
Expense Reports analysis and verification and correct input in SAP.
Ensure company’s accounting records accurately reflect company’s liabilities.
Posting of Banks and Banking reconciliation.
Perform period end activities, such as Journal entries and month-end for AP and GL areas.
Execution of Balance Sheet and Intercompany reconciliation.
Maintenance of Vendor Master Data.
Handling external and internal queries via email / phone.
Other general office administration as required.
Recent graduate in Accounting, Management or Economics.
Limited experience in accounting department.
Must have excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
Microsoft Office knowledge, especially Excel.
Fluent in English; another European language will be a plus.
Good analytical skills.
Knowledge of SAP is a plus.
Curious about how things work and why.
