The Team

We are a team of Global Access Strategy Leads responsible for Biosimilar and Established brands

Sitting in the Global Operational Pricing team, we also have a team member responsible for Pricing Systems and Processes

We are the "LoE Centre of Excellence" in Amgen, launching biosimilar assets and advising the business on the defence strategies for our growth brands as they approach patent expiry

The Role

Access Strategy Lead for Inflammation Biosimilars; Amgevita / Amjevita, Avsola, ABP654, ABP938

Location : The primary location for this role is Portugal although other locations may be evaluated


Leads all aspects of the planning, design, execution and monitoring of the global pricing & access strategy for the assigned products

Completes price governance for the assigned products in Top 10 Markets


Collaborate closely with global commercial and medical teams and provide active participation in brand and product teams

Handle life cycle management activities and ensure informed portfolio management : Assessing trade-offs between volume, profitability, supply and reference pricing impact

Lead payer research activities to support the generation and maintenance of value materials and toolkits

Lead the Global Access Team for Inflammation biosimilars, coordinating efforts across key Top 10 markets

Performs the end-to-end assessment of affiliate business cases for price changes in Top 10 Markets

Advises on the recommendation for pricing business cases from RoW countries, representing the perspective of V&A strategy

Contributes to global operational pricing workstreams related to systems, processes, and analytics

Works closely with BAI and Commercial teams to plan for different forecast scenarios depending on market dynamics and competitive intelligence

What we expect of you

We are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients. The professional we seek has the following qualifications :

PhD, MSc or BA in a scientific area (e.g., medicine, pharmacy, biology, economics, engineering, etc.)

3+ years of directly-related Industry experience (e.g., market access, pricing, commercial)

Experience in a related global or international role or direct payer-facing experience

Experience with developing pricing strategies and pricing business cases

Advanced analytical skills

Excellent communication and organizational skills

Strong oral and written presentation skills

A compete intensely and win mindset

Experience of launching biosimilar assets is preferred

A solid understanding of pricing and reimbursement systems, healthcare, market and competitor trends globally is preferred

Experience in the inflammation therapeutic area is preferred

Prior commercial or consulting experience is a plus
