To reach this WOW effect we are looking for an Area Manager that can manage our network of owned and operated our Glovo Micro Fulfillment Centers (warehouses) in their city, delivering a flawless experience to users bringing them their favorite goods in less than 10 minutes! This is one of Glovo’s key areas of investment and one of the fastest growing and most exciting teams at Glovo.
You will be the ultimate owner of SuperGlovo Micro Fulfillment Centers network in your city, managing operations, people and growth, and being a hero leader to your team.
Be a part of a team where you will :
Be the owner of the operations, ops strategy and P&L for the Glovo Micro Fulfillment Centersin your city
Be the ultimate owner of the operational excellence and the user experience of Glovo’s Micro Fulfillment Centers in your city by designing, implementing and constantly improving the darkstores’ operations and processes
Measure performance through metrics, providing feedback, and holding Store Managers and supervisors accountable for their performance and the performance of their teams
Manage a team of Store Managers and Supervisors with responsibility for each shift within a very fast-paced / time-critical and demanding environment
Manage staffing plans, schedules, quality initiatives, process change initiatives, and other Change / Six Sigma initiatives necessary to enable the Operations plans
Set the requirements and expectations for Store Managers, Supervisors and Pickers
Coordinate the expansion and launch of new Micro Fulfillment Centers in your city and other cities in your country
Be proactive and ensure that best practices are shared across all Micro Fulfillment Centers and shifts
Work closely with other teams (HR, Category Management, Finance, Facility contractors, Safety Manager, LiveOps...) to create and implement initiatives
Supervise the maintenance of the working environment ensuring health and safety standards across your stores
Achieve stock accuracy targets
Continuously measure and evaluate the departmental goals and all work processes, available daily labour and daily production goals
Improve quality and eliminate errors, reducing business costs
Manage and report main KPIs on a weekly basis
Perform administrative duties, and additional functions, as needed and determined by management
You have :
You’ll have an impressive track record in a high-volume, fast-paced distribution or logistics environment like ours
Team management experience
3-5 years experience as an operations manager in warehousing or retail, managing multidisciplinary teams
Fluency in Portuguese and English
Working knowledge of Six Sigma tools and Lean techniques
