The Market Intelligence department is part of CIB Strategy, a team which intervenes along 4 main pillars : Strategic Advice, Management support, development and Market Intelligence.
The Market Intelligence team is positioned as an insightful and transversal partner who :
Monitors BNPP CIB performance within the wholesale banking universe through a quarterly benchmarking of top CIB peers.
Coordinates relations with providers jointly with Business Lines for external benchmarking surveys.
Builds ad hoc market studies and competitive positioning analysis.
Shares relevant insights on the CIB industry and anticipate disruptive industry trends evolution.
The team is interacting with a large ecosystem across CIB and at the Group level.
To better address growing needs in strategic market data and analysis, CIB Market Intelligence started one year ago a process of streamlining, industrializing and optimizing data retrieval and analysis.
In this respect professionals based in Lisbon and managed by Paris have been recruited.
Today as the size of Lisbon Market Intelligence platform has increased as well as its responsibilities across CIB Business lines we are looking for a local Lisbon Head to pursue this momentum.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The selected candidate will be responsible on top of the general management of the team for supervising the team in the following duties :
Desk research, market and data analysis
Production of the quarterly CIB Peers benchmarking using various sources (peers publications, Coalition and Dealogic database)
Preparation of high-quality presentations within demanding timeframes
Building ad hoc market studies and competitive positioning analysis
Maintaining direct contacts with internal clients on daily needs
Contribution to build long-term internal client relationship
Assist other teams in their search needs
As manager of the CIB PROTECT team in Lisbon :
Act as an escalation point locally and manage all HR related topics with regards to the team members in Lisbon
Perform year end appraisals of the team members
Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering
At least 4 years’ experience ideally in Market Intelligence or consulting
Fluency in English is mandatory and some knowledge of French would be highly appreciated
Proficiency in MS Excel (quantitative analysis, modelling), MS Power Point and MS SharePoint
Effectiveness in the use of computer tools
Advanced drafting and formatting capacity
Rigor, analysis and summary skills
Strong interest in market intelligence / knowledge management
Proactivity, drive and self-reliance
Client oriented mindset to constantly meet clients’ expectations and learn from client feed-backs
Strong communication skills, adopts a communication style which is open, critical and
