We are currently looking for an experienced Solution Architect for our adidas Tech HUB in Porto. As a member of our central Tech chapter Engineering SAP & Corporate - Planning you will use your experience and knowledge to build, improve and extend capabilities of our global Demand Planning solutions.
Next to this you will work in close collaboration with our planning transformation programs Future Planning Solutions, as well as the challenging and fast paced SAP S / 4HANA transformation program.
In your role you will be responsible for
Design and implementation of best-in-class solutions using most modern SAP platforms and tools : SAP APO DP, SAP IBP, S / 4HANA and SAP Analytics Cloud
Making architecture, platform decisions and strategic choices to ensure best opportunities-vs-risks balance, considering internal and external dependencies
Applying Agile principles and methodologies to achieve fast progress in Product discovery with end users
Consulting and guiding Product Ownership team in shaping requirements to achieve maximum business value in most efficient and effective technology approach
Leading and role modelling in collaborative team work on solution design and development, while showing a high passion for designing / developing most complex topics yourself, if needed
Setting guardrails and governing external implementation team work
Providing constructive challenge to stakeholders as required and ensuring proper testing procedures are aligned and adhered to
Interacting with Marketing / Demand / Supply / Fulfillment Product teams, as well as the software engineering team in Headquarter and Markets to understand, configure and deploy tools in this domain and integrate data required for planning
Your team and department driving a culture of continuous improvement, while applying leading practices and methodologies
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Key for us are
At least 5-year experience in IT
Minimum 3 years of experience in a solution architect role in the field of demand planning
Deep customizing experience in at least one of the following SAP areas : APO-DP and APO-BW
SAP IBP, e.g. Sales and Operation, Demand, Supply and Response, DDMRP
Excellent understanding in one or more (cloud) data integration technologies : CIF integration, CPI-DS, BW-capabilities, SLT, SDA, SDI or RTI
Passionate and up-to-date with technology trends - especially in the SAP context
Own educated opinion on modern SAP planning platforms
Strong communication skills
Good understanding of and experience in agile methodologies
Experience in delivering value in a remote team
Eager to learn
A plus are for us the following
SAP AFS experience or experience in SAP CAR
AWS cloud integration experience with focus on ETL, data modeling and data flows
Experience in team management
Experience in Machine Learning, Big Data technologies and Advanced Analytics
Four-year college or university degree with focus on computer science or related areas, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Proficient spoken and written command of English
Certification in architecture area (e.g. TOGAF) is a plus
