CBRE Portugal is looking for a Sustainability Consultant to grow our team of dedicated professionals to ESG and Sustainability Services.
We are looking for highly motivated individuals, with personal interest for ESG agenda and capable of working in different work environments.
Our EMEA Sustainability team includes 100+ specialists across 10 countries. We work with owners, occupiers and investors and provide advice to help improve performance and productivity, enhance reputation, and reduce risk.
Role Purpose
The purpose of this position is to support delivery of Sustainability and ESG Services, to clients in Portugal, supporting our Property Management team.
The EMEA Sustainability Consultancy is part of our Strategic Advisory line of business and is currently working with several high-profile clients with design and implementation of sustainability strategies, sustainability reporting and compliance, varying between single subject consulting projects to large change management engagements.
You will work in close collaboration within the wider sustainability and property management team and your client contacts to ensure that each client has access to best-in-class strategic advice on how to approach sustainability.

The Sustainability Consultant will have responsibility for sustainability services primarily for CBRE’s Property Management business but will also contribute to our wider activities.
We look for candidates with a general understanding of the challenges for the Real Estate, in the face of the global movement and regulatory changes around Climate Change, helping our clients driving more responsible and resilient assets.
Key Responsibilities
a) Developing strategies and setting sustainability targets in collaboration with the Property Management teams.
b) Identifying sustainability improvement projects and initiatives in managed properties and portfolios.
c) Identify and implement energy conservation measurements to achieve energy and cost savings.
d) Coordinating the delivery of energy, water, and waste reporting.
e) Monitoring sustainability standards, KPIs and targets.
f) Design and deliver energy and water efficiency projects, including renewable energy.
g) Implement carbon monitoring tools in our clients’ portfolios.
h) Provide expert advisory to design teams of new construction, renovation, or fit-out projects.
i) Assisting with the delivery of environmental and green building and wellbeing certifications in our managed buildings (e.
g., LEED, BREEAM in Use, WELL or similar).
j) Advising on the implementation and management of green lease clauses.
k) Liaising with procurement teams to ensure sustainability is built into the procurement process and requirements.
l) Contributing to creative community and tenant engagement initiatives.
m) Providing data and reporting to industry benchmarks and initiatives (e.g., GRESB).
n) Engaging with client representatives to report on progress, successes, and challenges.
o) Deliver sustainability services for CBRE’s broader client base.
