Responsibilities
The functional safety control engineer will be responsible for developing safety functions for Vestas products, including :
Requirements development and stakeholder management
Modelling of control objects, e.g. adjacent electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
Design and implementation of control and simulation software in MATLAB / Simulink and ANSYS SCADE
System analysis in terms of performance level calculations and failure mode analysis
Generation of design documentation
Test in various test environments, ranging from PC-based simulators and HWIL test rigs to real-life wind turbines
Qualifications
M.Sc. or PhD in control engineering, electrical engineering, or similar
Experience with MATLAB / Simulink
Experience and / or interest within automation, i.e. industrial control of machinery
Experience with scripting and software development tool chains
Solid English writing and verbal communication skills
It’s valued to have knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems
