Job Overview and Responsibilities

1) Develop the global end-to-end L ab PC service, with all stakeholders and contributors (R&I Service Line, End users services team, Regional teams )

  • Animate the L ab PC contributor network ( 15 peoples WW )
  • Inforce governance, methods, rules and best practices to install and maintain Lab PC (software documentation, access management, CMDB , inventories )
  • Monitor and report on the Lab PC service performance (KPI, improvement plan)
  • 2) Contribute to the evolution of the LABPC solution

  • Investigate cases on demand and validate functional requirements
  • Identify service improvement opportunities and long term evolution
  • Participate in the solution design and boost partnership with other services (end user or technical)
  • 3) Participate in projects and major transformations

  • Act as a single point of contact for projects when Lab PC service is engaged
  • Involve partners, colleagues and coordinate actions (Lab PC mass deployment, W10...)
  • Education and Experience

  • Education in the field of IT (bachelor mini)
  • 5 years effective experience with laboratory computers technologies and IT (software installation & support, licence & account management .)
  • Skills

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft technologies (file servers, Windows workstation, AD) and of the infrastructure components (network, firewall, switch, VLAN..)
  • Experience using Google workplace, develop automation (scripting)
  • Experience working with an ITSM (such as BMC RemedyForce / BMC Helix ), designing dashboards, monitoring tools and maintaining a CMDB
  • Project Orientation skills
  • Open minded, collaborative mindset
  • Adept of team working in a WW environment made of different cultures
  • Leadership to enroll stakeholders in his domain
  • Rigorous
  • English (professional) is mandatory
  • One of the other Solvay main language (french, italian, german...) is a plus
