Europcar Services is the Pan-European Shared Services Centre of Europcar Business Services opened in Oeiras - Portugal in early 2014 to handle and provide, mainly, financial services and to harmonize and optimize processes.

Growing fast, in terms of processes and staff, Europcar Services counts, nowadays with more than 300 employees, becoming one of the biggest sites of Europcar Group.

Europcar Services is looking for :

Cash Application Clerk (m / f)

Responsible for the day-to-day processing of the Accounts Receivables function, including co-ordination of contacts with Collection teams for processing of Customer and Business to Business Debts, receipts and cash application.

Monitor billing balances of customers and take appropriate action to assign overdue amounts to business partners in accordance with the collection escalation procedure.

Key Areas of Responsibility :

  • Administer all enquiries received regarding credit card charges
  • Submit transactions to our bank to process for payment
  • Credit card refunds
  • Chargeback reporting
  • Charge for penalty charge offences
  • Allocate Credit card payments against the appropriate debt
  • External departments query management
  • In addition, the employee may participate in :
  • Assisting the team lead in maintaining open communication channels with customers developing high standards for service delivery and quality
  • Working closely with other team members to implement and standardize processes to ensure maximum efficiencies
  • Providing input to continuous process improvement
  • Key skills

  • Minimum of High School diploma
  • Basic experience in accounting
  • Ability to quickly become a proficient user of Oracle Financial Applications
  • Knowledge of International Accounting Standards
  • Good communication skills
  • Language skills : English medium level
  • Professional manner and highly organized
  • Excellent customer service skills and experience of telephone based support is desirable
  • Aptitude for process improvement, attention to detail, getting to root cause of problems
  • Enthusiastic, positive attitude to support a constructive working environment
  • Focuses activities on customer business priorities
