We are seeking a Lead QA Engineer, motivated by a strong software engineering culture. Our tight-knit, high-performance engineering team is responsible for developing and strengthening the app that allows independent professionals to connect and collaborate with a diverse network of potential customers and other talented professionals.
The Lead QA Engineer will be working with one of our multi-functional Scrum teams alongside Frontend and Backend Engineers, ensuring that we deliver our customers the product of the highest quality.
Please be aware that, though it is a fully remote position, we are looking for someone who is located within 2-3 hours difference from the CET time zone to ensure stable communication flow and comfortable working hours for everyone.
In this role, you’ll
Be responsible for the quality of the Indy product delivered to the end users
Build QA processes within the QA team and in the company in general
Lead the QA team and be a go-to person for any questions team might have
Be the voice of QA team in the company, collaborate and communicate with frontend and backend teams when needed
Collaborate with the HR team on hiring, interviewing and onboarding new members of the QA team
Help and assist QA team members in learning, growing and developing their current skills
Synchronize with other teams on prioritization of tasks and processes
Work closely with customer support on the issues and bugs users encounter
Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
Participate in grooming sessions to identify feature requirements
Provide estimations for testing activities
Identify, record, document and track bugs
Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test cases and test documentation
What you’ll bring to the role
5+ years of manual Web testing experience
Experience leading QA team
Exceptional communication skills
Experience in testing complex systems and business flows
Experience in API testing
Strong knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle
Experience working in Agile environment
Bonus points
QA Automation experience or basic understanding of automated testing
