DevOps Engineer will join Gigaset Operations Team with the main focus on maintaining a platforms that meets the reliability requirements :
Gigaset Elements smart home system for tens of thousands customers in Europe
Gigaset.Net - platform for support and management VoIP phones for millions of devices.
We are working in close cooperation with development teams to deliver new functionalities to customers safe, quickly and frequently.
Our platforms runs an Internet of Things backend infrastructure which requires processing and storing large amounts of events.
On top of this we automate the whole life cycle of the infrastructure using configuration management tools. We dive deep into challenging operational issues concerning software, systems, automation and process.
Your daily tasks :
Build and maintain automation that drives the platform behind our products
Work closely with software development to enable rapid delivery cycle while meeting the reliability requirements
Assist in or lead incident response, diagnosis and follow-up on system outages or alerts affecting Gigaset production infrastructure
Build and maintain monitoring, dashboards, alerting, log collection
Tackle issues across the entire stack - OS, software, application and network
Requirements :
Linux Centos : strong knowledge including network stack, firewalls, HA solutions
Docker deploying / configuring / testing apps in backend environments
Kubernetes - deploying / configuring / testing apps in backend environments
Data storage PostgreSQL , MySQL , Redis : creating, maintaining, monitoring our data
English B2 or higher
Nice-to-have :
Monitoring ELK Stack , Grafana , Prometheus , Sensu : creating dashboards, log collections, alerts
Automation - Puppet , Terraform : automation of our environments
Admin on duty tasks - readiness for work in 24 / 7 cycle
