Coordinate the design of optical fiber probes, model simulations, and multimodal spectroscopic approaches for advanced clinical and scientific use-cases,
Plan and implement experiments for the characterization of optical fiber systems and sensors for biological applications.
Lead advancements to our platform by incorporating relevant developments in optical fiber-based photonics and spectroscopy fields.
Work to assure our product hits the highest performance and quality standards.
Presentation and publication of scientific output.
Lead and mentor other team members.
Deliver milestones within project timelines.
Be part of a cross-functional, highly skilled, motivated team, contributing to bring the company to the next level.
Assist in the validation of functional requirements and value generation for customers, acting as a liaison between the customer and the business, and helping deliver the technology to market.
PROFILE
Ph.D. in Physics, or related area, with 5+ years of relevant research or industry experience in optical technologies.
Track record of development and implementation of biophotonic techniques, spectroscopy, and / or optical fiber applications at nanoscale.
Knowledge in optical fiber sensors - simulation, development, fabrication, and characterization of lensed optical fibers and other types of fiber tips.
Track record of scientific excellence, critical and creative thinking, problem-solving skills, and multitasking.
Team player and capable of integrating a multidisciplinary and dynamic team
Fluent in English, with strong writing and communication skills.
Has a high level of motivation, self-organization, multi-tasking, and analytical skills. Works with a sense of urgency in driving projects and sets ambitious goals
Knowledge in light-matter interactions and complex optical assays applied to biologic liquid samples.
Strong theoretical and experimental skills with the design of experiments using spectroscopic techniques such as light scattering, Raman methods, and FTIR
