Main responsibilities :
As part of the Finance Operations team, your main responsibility will be supporting process owners to implement adequate internal controls, evaluating the adequacy of internal controls over financial reporting (design and operation), Sarbanes-Oxley 404 compliance activities.
This highly visible role will interface with senior management on a multi-functional and multi-regional level.
Your daily tasks will include :
Interact with senior management, team members, process owners and external auditors
Understand business processes from operational, financial and systems perspectives, and identify corresponding risks and controls.
Liaise with the Process Owners to ensure business processes are adequately documented within narratives, risks and controls are properly identified
Assist in driving the development and execution of SOX testing approaches to ensure all key business risks and controls are evaluated
Support business units and audit teams to ensure SOX compliance, including evaluation of financial statement risks and determination of the sufficiency of internal controls over financial reporting to mitigate those risks
Assist in identifying remediation of related risks, deficiencies, gaps or issues identified by either the External / Internal Audit teams
Track remediation progress for all identified deficient controls identified by Audit
Background in Economics / Management / Finance;
Interest in finance and internal control
Interest in BPM (business process mapping) and documentation
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively;
Hands-on attitude, because e-commerce is 50% operations and processes;
Passion for making things happen and getting excited about identifying and delivering simple solutions to complex problems;
Fluent in English both verbal and written / French is a plus;
Experience in audit or internal control is a plus
