Your Role :
Prepare the payroll system and execute the monthly payroll processing
Compute and process timesheet data, retroactive adjustments and special payments
Process changes related to status, taxes, deductions and leaves
Prepare and process the monthly declarations assuring its compliance with the tax and legal legislation
Administer HR related documentation, maintain HR records and personnel database regarding employees remuneration packages;
Process bulk data loads and produce special report as required
Respond to inquiries regarding tax and social security topics from our employees and resolve incidents as required
Support Payroll Accounting team with reconciliations and accruals
Identify and implement improvements to the process
2+ years payroll experience in a fast-paced environment required
Degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration
Experience as a functional superuser with ERP, HR or Payroll applications (e.g. Primavera)
Up-to-date knowledge on the Portuguese wage tax, pension, social security and other employment laws / regulations, showing experience with at least another country's labour context (e.g. Spain, Brazil)
Strong proficiency with productivity tools like Microsoft Excel
Strong analytical skills, able to analyze and work with large data sets
Deadline-driven and detail-oriented
Teamwork skills but also a sense of autonomy and proactivity
Highly proficient in English spoken and written
Nice to have
Understanding of payroll requirements, laws, and regulations for employees working in Spain, Brazil or other relevant countries, is a strong plus
