The Computer Vision Architect will be working in the Sensitive Industry project, which main goal is to innovate by creating an industrial management system based on computer vision technologies and advanced IoT architectures for better decisions driven by data.
Bosch is bringing together its experience in the IoT systems and the expertise of University of Porto and INL, to deliver these new solutions which will enable optimizations on manufacturing operations.
Your contribution to something big :
You'll be responsible for designing new software solutions for Industrial Internet of Things using computer vision systems and apply your system view to the entire solutions being developed.
It is expected you will the take responsibility over your work packages and support other team members, guiding them on translating requirements in technical concepts to achieve the best suited architectures.
You’ll work closely with the other team members to find the most appropriate state-of-the-art solutions, create data acquisition methods, use and develop algorithms for detection, segmentation, mapping and tracking, specify and conduct algorithm test procedures in simulated and real test environments.
Coach team members in best practices of computer vision software development and to be responsible for the system interfaces.
It is expected you show your curious mindset, searching for solutions for real-life problems being in close contact with the users for your solutions.
Use your overview over the entire system to interface with relevant stakeholders, integrate the team that searches for unattended user needs and ignite solution-oriented discussions.
You will create the foundation of a new, cutting edge, artificial vision IoT platform for industrial applications.
It is expected that you will collaborate closely with academic institutions acting as technical senior interface with research partners.
Understanding of IoT systems topology from the edge to the cloud is highly valued.
What distinguishes you :
MSc in Computer Science, Data Science, SW Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Applied Mathematics
More than 7 years of experience developing computer vision solutions using OpenCV
Very Strong software skills of C++ and Python
Experience on machine learning algorithms, ML libraries and algorithm performance assessment, deep learning algorithms and frameworks, preferentially TensorFlow
Previous contact with Java is highly valued
Knowledge on system modeling using UML
Previous contact with GPU ML acceleration is valued
Familiarity with IoT systems and cloud computing
Team player with excellent communication skills
Very good English communication abilities
