Job Overview and Responsibilities
An IS Business Continuity Specialist creates plans to keep IS Critical Systems / Services functioning after disruptive events such as global outage, large scale hacking, .
It focuses on planning for incident prevention, prediction, and management with the goal of maintaining service availability and performance at the highest possible levels before, during, and after a disaster-level incident.
Perform detailed company wide business impact analysis and risk assessment related to IT.Animate GBU business continuity risk experts to help identify key risks and their associated systems.
Partner with Group Security Business Continuity Experts to develop a comprehensive Disaster Recovery plan that supports enterprise expectations and policies.
Mature the practice of IT DR across all IT Service owners through IT recovery developing, maintaining, planning, training & awareness, and execution of IT Recovery strategies through extensive testing.
Supports the IS Incident Operations team to ensure DR is executed and coordinates with GBU contacts for Crisis communication.
Duties and Responsibilities :
Supports Business Resilience Policy Development and Implementation.
Collect potential threats and risk level / probability threats, probabilities, mitigating controls, impacts and develop remediation plans to address gaps.
from all service owners regarding their managed service.
Interprets Business Impact Analysis Results (Business Application Requirements MTPD / RPO) and performs gap analysis between business requirements and technology capability in collaboration with service owners and security architecture.
Build and document a Recovery Strategy Standard (risk assessment) ratified by Group Security, and then deploy across IT.
Facilitates technology recovery exercises. Includes plan & scope development and documentation, exercise execution, execution issues tracking to closure, and results / evidence capture and reporting.
Heavy focus on maturing exercise strategies and Full Year planning.
Partner with Group Security, Business Continuity, Crisis coordination and CISO to collaborate and plan larger scale exercises.
Supports development and execution of 3rd Party Vendor Reviews.
Strengthen culture, process, and documentation related to BCM activities through ongoing training and awareness
Leverage past knowledge and experience to provide recommendations and proven test cases for program maturity specific to IT DR and technology recovery.
Supports IT DR Audit Response from Regulators and Customers as needed
Develops and maintains IT DR program metrics reporting on IT DR posture, efforts and risk.
Under guidance of the IT Incident Commander, assist with meetings related to the disruptive event, compile situational awareness updates and requests for review by the Crisis Management Team and communicate strategies, actions and decisions made by the Crisis Management team to the business.
Provide administrative support to the crisis management team; launch notifications (call, text, email), scribe and help draft communications.
Work with service owners and third party vendor relationship managers as needed to assess criticality of the service to the business and ensure the Tier 1 critical third parties maintain compliance with our Program requirements.
Education and Experience
Minimum 4 - 5 years’ experience in a Business Continuity Management (BCM) or related role in IS;
Excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships at all levels;
Able to prioritize, plan and multi-task in a fast-paced collaborative team environment and organize activities systematically;
Able to work independently;
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
Excellent oral / written communication and presentation skills;
Good understanding of IS BCM standards;
Experience with crisis / incident management.
English mandatory, French very welcome
ITIL foundation certification
