As a Marketing Manager for our Architectural Coatings Business in Portugal you will become an effective Business Partner of sales teams , interacting with them and influencing sales behavior & performance, with sound knowledge of our markets and customers.

You will define, implement and animate brands strategy, which should be results-oriented, highly operational, business development and profit oriented.

You will support the EMEA product category strategy, on proposing and driving innovation projects that need to be developed by the R&D teams while ensuring a fast roll out of the innovations.

You will manage the strategic marketing planning for Portugal coordinated into PPG planning sequence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Brand Planning & Strategy :
  • Market analysis
  • Definition of brand positioning
  • Selection of relevant customer segmentation & targets
  • Marketing-mix definition (product / price / promotion / channel)
  • 2. Customer Experience & Value Proposition :

  • Specification of brand product range to be developed by product marketing
  • Definition of detailed value proposition per customer segment, including services
  • 3. Brand Activation & Media Planning :

  • Implementation of communication plan per brand to drive customer dedication.
  • 4. Customer & Channel Marketing :

  • Definition & implementation of growth initiatives with a clear marketing roadmap & sales support activities.
  • Reinforced relationship build-up with field sales teams.
  • Development of Digital activation roadmap.
  • 5. Product Management

  • Chip in to the segment innovation process in order to propose and select the innovation projects to implement at EMEA level to bring extra growth and profitability
  • Supervise and consolidate market trends of the product categories, customer insights, upcoming legislation changes, technological progress and competition
  • Reduce country formula portfolio complexity by pushing new or existing formula sharing, substitution and stop of existing formulas while looking to increase sales and profitability
  • Accountable for brands results (P&L).
  • Qualifications

  • University Degree in Management or Marketing or equivalent field
  • Previous experience in similar positions (5 years)
  • Proficient Windows Office literacy
  • Proficient English
  • Analytical skills and clear diagnostic competences
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication.
  • Highly organized teammate with a strong attention to detail
