What’s the role about?
In this role you will acting as a specialist within the assigned commodity to assess potential new suppliers, develop existing suppliers and lead CI / VAVE activities within the Commodity.
Ensuring GKN Automotive Standards are being followed and that all supplied products are within agreed specifications.
What you will do?
Remote Run & Rate documentation Reviews
Pre Review and develop PPAP with Suppliers to allow CSQ to sign with no further issues
Approve PPAP for all GKN sites in case of multiple delivery, avoiding duplication of activities at local Plant
Risk Assessment for Programmes
CC implementation and Traceability assessment per component
VA / VE validations at Suppliers
Complaint Management (PDCA / FTA audit and validation)
Programme APQP for Regionally based Suppliers
Audits
What are we looking for?
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Formal problem-solving skills (5WHYs, 8D, fishbone, PPS, etc.)
Experience with core quality tools, APQP, FMEA, MSA, PPAP and SPC
Stamping experience, especially profile cutting
Casting experience, iron casting experience preferred, light metal acceptable
CMM programming skills
5-axis CNC machining knowledge
Complex negotiation skills
Capability to work in teams as leader or team member, strong collaborator
Competence in Auditing (internal / external)
