We’re looking for a talented Head of Mobile Development to join our growing team! In this role, you will be developing software to support Lovys multiple services.
You will be collaborating with system architects and a product team to define what are the best technological answers to our complex problems.

As a Head of Mobile Development at Lovys, you'll be part of a team that creates and maintains experiences across our Mobile apps, including subscription and claims flows, client spaces for our customers and partners, complex notifications mechanisms that manage our insurance products across Europe using both Android and iOS native apps.
You'll have the opportunity to impact our core digital insurance business, as well as emerging products data / fraud prevention, and others.

What will you do?
Create new solutions and components that are meant to answer a global scale
Help developing a scalable and sustainable system throughout all our Mobile products.
Contribute to the update and mature our teams software development process
Work closely together with Product Management in strategy development as well as the development process.
Evaluate and identify appropriate technology platforms for delivering the company’s services.
Design and Implement end to end solutions to help Lovys deliver on its mission
Coordinate strategic planning to achieve business goals by prioritizing development initiatives and setting timetables for the evaluation, development, and deployment of app-based services.
Participate as a member of the senior technology management team in establishing governance processes of direction and control to ensure that objectives are achieved, risks are managed appropriately and the organization’s resources are used responsibly, particularly in the areas of app development.
Contribute to standardization of technologies and evolution of best practices within its team context
Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency
Apply critical thinking and troubleshooting skills to our real-world problems
Supervise recruitment, training, retention, and organization of all development staff in accordance with the company hiring process, personnel policies, and budget requirements.
Mentor, educate and support those around you, as well as other developers within the company
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
5+ years of experience developing native mobile Applications
2 years of experience managing Mobile Apps teams
Strong understanding of the app-lifecycle and what challenges it imposes
Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies
Ability to implement new and improve existing software development processes / practices
Strong technical leadership experience, developing, coaching, and mentoring Engineering Leads.
Mandatory fluency in English
