Solvay is looking for a Treasury Operations Specialist / Officer to proactively manage and execute treasury operations in EMEA region and In-House-Bank.
The candidates will provide expertise and support in the tactical execution of treasury management activities (cash management & banking, payments execution and financial / currency risk management).
Added focus on incorporating automation and efficiency gains through the implementation of Treasury Management System (FIS Quantum), continuous improvement in our operational processes, and delivering exceptional cross-functional and cross-departmental customer service.
In daily contact with Banking partners of Solvay Group, the candidates must be extremely rigorous and act with a high degree of integrity and ethics.
This position will report to the TSU EMEA & IHB Manager. Treasury Service Unit (TSU) belongs to SBS organization.You will be involved in following activities : Solvay In-House Bank (IHB) management
Payment and Collection activities on behalf of Solvay affiliates
Maintenance and continued expansion of payment factory and A / R factoring
Provide technical and functional support to the Group entities regarding IHB questions
Internal bank accounts follow up including interests calculation
Cash & forex management
Cash release to banks requested by Corporate Treasury and other departments
Ensure trades are successfully instructed and acknowledged : check, authorize, record & confirm trades, settlement instructions in a strict respect of currencies cut-off times
Check FX exposure & counterparty risks in the respect of the limits set by Risk Management
Daily bank account reconciliations
Bank accounts optimization
Implementation of cash concentration, pooling structures following liquidity optimization schemes defined by International Treasury
Preserve optimized banks and accounts landscape, identifying and deploying rationalization opportunities in the EMEA region, when appropriate
Review fees statements & follow up of fees discrepancies with contracts
Compliance of Treasury operations with group governance, global & local regulation
Maintain up-to-date and enhance the Group Treasury Operating Manual, Standard Operating Procedures & Business Continuity Plan relative to the activities under responsibility
Follow-up internal controls in scope
Support in Projects delivery (Treasury Management System, Bank Account rationalization )
Education and Experience
Degree in Finance Administration
about 5 years’ experience in treasury operations with a large Corporate or within a banking environment;
Solid understanding of banking systems and international business, involving multi-currency transactions. Familiarity with the requirements and complexities of global payments transactions (of which Swift, banking tools );
Extremely rigorous and act with a high degree of integrity and ethics
Flexibility in working hours; typical treasury day starts from 7am until 4pm;
Fluent in English, other languages are considered as an advantage;
Highly analytical with critical thinking and problem solving skills. Process driven, organized, and produces results within defined deadlines.
Interpersonal & communication skills;
Strong skills in Google / Microsoft Suites. Strong knowledge of SAP, Treasury Management Systems (Quantum), Payment platforms and Swift environment.
