Responsibilities
As a sensor engineer, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and verification of smart sensing algorithms of a wind turbine.
You will use simulations as well as field data (from thousands of Vestas turbines operating all over the world) to develop models and concepts for the current and next generation of wind turbines.
The primary responsibilities and tasks include :
Design, implement and verify smart sensing algorithms for wind turbines using new or existing sensor technologies
Use signal processing tools, sensor fusion, and machine learning techniques to extract and infer relevant data
Have the technical ownership of the features across projects and actively work with relevant stakeholders
Engage in new feature development and be engaged in the early-stage feasibility studies of new products working together with other engineering teams
Contribute to the technology road map and innovation (patents)
Make improvements to existing software based on the feedback from the field (turbines in operation) and customer requirements
Develop well designed and testable code
Be committed in writing and updating comprehensive technical documentation and maintain software functionality
Be a efficient contributor to the continuous improvement of our processes and tools
