BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for dynamic, results driven individual to join as an Professional Internship Buyer at our new production plant in Viana, Portugal.

Key Accountabilities

Support sourcing of goods and services

Select, develop and manage supply base for components in upcoming and existing designs

Implement standard procurement practices

Support negotiate complex and or critical supplier agreements in line with existing strategies

Identify and mitigate supply chain risks

Support internal stakeholders with their procurement needs

Conduct continuous improvement efforts focused on optimizing procurement process

Ensure compliance with environmental, health and safety at work standards, policies and practices in accordance with their level of responsibility

Comply with environmental, health and safety, quality and productivity standards

Comply with the organization's rules and internal regulations : Code of Ethics, practice and working period

Respect workplace safety and cleanliness rules

Perform other tasks not included in the activity for which they were hired, when the needs or convenience of service so warrant, for the period of time necessary for the aforementioned needs or convenience of service

Education & Experience

Degree in Engineering, Economy or Finance

Knowledge in SAP (preferable)

Good computer skills

Conflict Management

Quality decision

Results Oriented

Interpersonal Communication

Fluent in English

Fluent in Portuguese
