The Private IaaS offers different DisasterRecovery service classes for the VMs hosted on the platform : Platinum, Gold andBronze.
Disaster Recovery as a Service provides the client with the possibilityto recover VMs in case of a disaster, according to the class they belong to.
This service comprehends therefore the organization of regular tests to provethe Recovery capability. It is to be operated in a global way, meaning one teamserving all Private IaaS clients worldwide.
The technical solution relies on IBM, whois to perform most actions needed to execute a Disaster Recovery.
Part of the Private IaaS Operations team,the Disaster Recovery Service Owner is the end-to-end responsible for the DRcapability of the private Iaas managed services delivered by the SupplierIBM
As such, he / she
Is accountable for the operationalperformance of the Disaster Recovery services for Private Iaas
Ensures that the IT Disaster RecoveryPlans for Private Iaas and associated procedures and supporting documentationare maintained, tested and improved over time
Will act as DR Private Iaas subject matterexpert towards IBM Private Iaas DR Managed Service teams
Will act as the bridge between IBM DRManaged Services and Regional-Central DR organization
Will track the evolution of the PrivateIaas DR Solution as part of the IBM product and understands its impact from abusiness perspective
Animating and working close together with theglobal DR Community (Regional Central)
Monitors the IBM performance on the activities inscope of the DR Managed Services
Coordinates with Capacity Management toensure the disaster recovery related capacity needs are taken into account
Is accountable for the organization of regularDisaster Recovery tests
Leads the regular Disaster Recovery governancebetween IBM & ATS
Defines the test planning with the local ATSentities
Defines the scope of DR tests
Mobilizes the necessary resources, both inregions and IBM
Manages the stakeholders communication
Ensures that all KPI SLA regarding the IBMDR Managed services are met , as agreed in the contract
Launches all required actions to ensure thatany deviation is being remediated by improvement plans and actions
Owns the Disaster Recovery technical solution end-to-end :
Represents the Private IaaS OperationsTeam in front of IBM for technical aspects on Disaster Recovery
Is considered as SPOC for all Disaster Recoveryrelated topics within the Private IaaS organization
Is part of theoperational governance with IBM and regions when it comes to technical andoperational aspects
Supports Management in providing them with adequate technicalinformation to make the right operational decisions, without compromisingoperations and security
Participates to the project currentlyon-going to improve the Disaster Recovery technical solution, with theobjective to make it safer & faster
Owns the Business Continuity Plan & CrisisManagement framework for Private IaaS
Keeps the documentation up-to-date
Organizes the necessary trainings
Participates to the Crisis Management team whenrequired
Owns the Disaster Recovery (IT Continuity)process for Private IaaS
Leads the continuous improvement approach(optimize, rationalize, standardize)
Proven demonstrableexperience in a BC&DR role.
Proven experiencein service management (ITIL)
Provenexperience using Agile methodology is a plus
Strongknowledge of Disaster Recovery operations
Strong multidisciplinarian technical background and knowledge in different domains likesecurity, network, multi-tiered infrastructure, databases, integration andapplication platforms
Strong basisand understanding of the architectural principles of cloud-based platforms thatinclude IaaS components
Minimum 3years of experience in server virtualization technologies, experience withprivate or public cloud is an advantage
Understandingof all cloud offerings in the market and ability to discuss cloud architectures
Securitycertification is a plus (CISSP and CCSP)
Good aptitudein relationship management with large amount of stakeholders
Able to manageinternational teams and multi-cultural environment
Work withminimal direct guidance, self-motivated and proactive
Excellent andclear communication skills with the ability to presentcomplex technical concepts to a non-technical audience

Ability totravel as needed, as you will on regular basis have to travel between entitiesto meet experts of other regions
