For our Ruminant business in Portugal, we are currently looking for a Technical Key Account Manager.

In your role as a Technical Key Account Manager- Ruminant , you will be the firsthand contact for veterinary practitioners and farmers within our cattle and ruminant segment in Portugal.

This also involves the cooperation with Portuguese colleagues to maintain and strengthen a strong customer focus approach within activities, training, conferences, and meetings for and with customers to make their daily work better and easier.

This role provides you a great opportunity to use and develop skills within veterinary medicine, to network and think proactively out of the box.

This is a field-based role and you will be reporting directly to the local Business Unit Head Production Animals.

Further key responsibilities :

  • Key account and technical responsibility in the assigned veterinarians and farms in the north and center region of Portugal
  • Achieve sales and profit targets while cultivating relationships with assigned key accounts (veterinarians and farmers)
  • Develop and coordinate the implementation of key account plans for assigned customers and projects to improve health and productive outcomes for end users
  • Create a trustful and open relationship with the end customer while providing added value through deep customer understating
  • Partner with the customer for technical advice, share study results, and promote field trials with assigned veterinarians
  • Support and promote our product range; Closely cooperate with colleagues to achieve customer and company objectives
  • Identify best communication methods with relevant customers, utilizing new technological developments
  • Share ideas for development with business unit colleagues.
  • What should you bring to the team?

  • You have a Degree in Veterinary Medicine and at least 3 - 4 years of practical field experience (preferably from Dairy practice, feed lot or mixed practice with a main focus on ruminants)
  • Strong Key Account Management (KAM) skills
  • Excellent networking and communication skills
  • Fluent in Portuguese and strong knowledge of the English language
  • Excellent command of the market developments in the healthcare system
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask and work both independently and be a team-player
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving attitude - ability to find innovative approach and solutions
  • Open, positive, collaborative, and dynamic personality
  • Lastly, you have a strong focus on results and drive to create a real customer value.
