Job Overview TE Connectivity's Materials Planning Teams are responsible for the plans, schedules, and monitoring of the movement of material through the production cycle.
They determine quantity and order date for materials to meet production or engineering schedules, initiate purchase or production requisitions compliant with supply agreements, and develop the schedule to be used in the production facility based on forecasts and historical analysis.
The Team develops specifications for new contract orders as well as forecasts and plans for labor requirements. They provide timely and accurate input on supplier performance and may be asked to participate in higher level supplier performance reviews with the strategic sourcing team.
They also monitor cost, schedule and scope of assigned subcontracts to assure best quality at best value. What your background should look like :
Task / Responsibilities
Timely and cost-optimized sourcing from internal TE suppliers for our customers (internal and external)
Support for special activities regarding the availability of materials
Optimization of KPIs like ship to request, inventory level and supply backlogs (lates) in the material supply chain
Coordination of special transports together with the source and forwarder
Optimized phase-in / phase-out planning
Active collaboration in optimizing the supply chain planning parameter
Proactive collaboration to minimize the risk of material bottlenecks; If necessary, initiate action plans in cooperation with other team members and / or departments
Monitoring the delivery performance of the assigned suppliers by means of a KPI system and identifying causes of deficits in delivery performance
Regular meetings with the supplier to coordinate permanent disturbances, e.g. capacity constraints, material bottlenecks, and appropriate solutions
Implementation of optimization strategy together with suppliers
Degree in Engineering or Management or Similar
2 years experience in Material Planning or similar in an industrial environment
Experience in Automotive (preferred)
Mandatory : Good level of English spoken and write
Preferred : SAP experience
