About the job :

Due to continued growth our capabilities in Portugal are expanding and we are looking for Core .NET Developers to join our team.

This is a really exciting time to join us and work with some of the world's best-known brands and retailers such as Bosch, DFS, Johnson & Johnson, MAC, Nestlé, Sainsbury’s, Selfridges, Shell, Specialized, Tempur and Tiffany & Co.

The successful candidate will be responsible for modeling, developing and maintaining applications and services for the evolution of the eCommerce platform.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Managing the design and development of new applications and services
  • Maintaining and developing the team's software package
  • Managing the integration and re-factoring of existing applications
  • Developing unit and functional testing
  • Documenting the activities performed
  • The ideal candidates are passionate about innovation and capable of thinking out of the box, willing to truly value and enjoy developing their understanding of the business, and the products we use, as well as the technologies that underpin them.

    The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a similar role at a software house and / or an eCommerce company and has the following skills :

  • Developing in C# and .NET / .NET Core framework
  • Knowledge of Object Oriented paradigm, best practices and design patterns (SOLID principles)
  • Good Knowledge of relational databases (preferably Microsoft Sql Server, Oracle)
  • Good Knowledge of NoSql databases (preferably MongoDB, Cassandra)
  • Good knowledge of software versioning tools (preferably Git)
  • Knowledge of CI / CD process and automation tools (preferably Jenkins and Octopus Deploy)
  • Knowledge of designing and developing of REST API
  • Designing reusable libraries, framework and components
  • Collaborates in reviews of work with others
  • If you know some of this, even better!

  • Test-driven development - TDD
  • Asynchronous programming
  • Message broker (preferably RabbitMQ) and patterns
  • Application containerization
  • Functional languages and paradigm (preferably F# or Scala)
  • Domain Driven Design - DDD paradigms
  • Experience with agile teams and / or Knowledge of agile methods

    In our Lisbon office, you will join a team of other specialists who are always ready to help each other. The team is part of our Wunderman Thompson Commerce network, and works in coordination with our Local and EMEA client leads.

    Please note that this job is a full-time position located in Portugal, but the selection process will be conducted in English.
