The Business Applications Business Lead for Customer Engagement & Industry is responsible for orchestrating planning and execution across marketing, sales, partner, customer success and services across the WE region to deliver business outcomes, drive internal, ecosystem and market awareness and excitement, and leading local market insight.

The Customer Engagement workload portfolio consists of Dynamics 365 Sales, Dynamics 365 Marketing, Dynamics 365 Customer Service, Dynamics 365 Field Service, etc.

The Business Applications Business Lead is required to have a strong understanding of the business applications industry, their solution portfolio and a deep understanding of customers’ and Business Decision Makers’ pain points and opportunities.

Next to expertise in customer engagement solutions, the role requires understanding of the business application opportunity in Financial Services and Retail industry.

The role is seen as the voice of the value proposition within the area as well as the leader and the spokesperson for the customer engagement solution portfolio and the industry value proposition.

In addition, they must be able to articulate the area competitive landscape and develop local compete strategies and product differentiation by leveraging corporate and local research, partner insights and customer feedback.

The Business Applications Business Lead for Customer Engagement must develop strong partnerships across segment stakeholders to lead and execute the fiscal year local priorities.

The Business Applications Business Lead understands, orchestrates and influences programs, campaigns and marketing activities, and shares insights and results to Corp and other leads worldwide.

An essential aspect of the role is to align the content, timing and delivery of marketing messages and outreach to Microsoft’s customers and partners.

The various messages need to be well aligned, with the end goal of supporting a "One Microsoft" motion. The Business Applications Business Lead is an ambassador of the overall product brand and Microsoft customer and partner experience.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for driving the business applications priorities, with an expertise on Customer Engagement workloads such as Sales, Service, Field Service, Marketing
  • Be the voice of the business applications industry portfolio for Retail and Financial Services and partner with
  • Provide deep customer insights, market insights, competitive insights, sales pipeline and performance data for Customer Engagement to leadership as part of the rhythm of the business.
  • Mine these insights to develop go-to-market campaigns to win market share and grow the business; with a focus on commercial industries

  • Establish Microsoft as the Thought Leader in the Business Applications space by building the right partner ecosystem, capturing the mindshare with BDMs through industry relevant business outcomes, engaging with communities and technical influencers and driving adoption of Customer Engagement workloads.
  • Orchestrate the Business Applications Marketing Plans and amplify by running, supporting and enabling local activities.
  • Partner with peers to ensure communication and sales enablement is streamlined, simple, and effective.
  • Qualifications

    Experience : Proven product marketing experience in business applications / cloud; Marketing and / or Sales.

    Education : Bachelor’s Degree required, relevant fields of study include Marketing, Business, Computer Science. MBA or Master’s Degree preferred.

    Skills & Knowledge :

  • Evangelist and subject matter expert for the customer engagement product / solution and business applications in the Financial Services and Retail industry
  • Strong analytical skills and results oriented marketing
  • Understanding of line of business decision maker audience and customer engagement solutions
  • Product marketing experience within a consultative solution selling model
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Deep customer focus and ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences
  • Ability to partner and align cross-segment / subsidiary stakeholders
  • Sales or Business Development experience is a plus
  • Knowledge of Customer Engagement (CRM) Software is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Financial Services and Retail industry is preferred.
