Barbuck is a company and product TalkingForms launched at Tech for Marketing in September 2019. TalkingForms by Barbuck is a product that enables Barbuck clients to instantly contact their customers by phone via simple form request actioned by the customer.
Messaging by Barbuck is a product in active development. The goal is to integrate with WhatsApp, and an SMS provider, and provide end-user API services for messaging.
Project description
There are two core workstreams the development team are working on :
Continue to develop TalkingForms including any potential integrations with prospective clients
Active development of Messaging product
Barbuck TalkingForms have been developed in Ruby on Rails. Barbuck Messaging is being developed in Elixir / Phoenix.
Requirements :
Elixir / Phoenix at least 1 year of experience or willing to learn
Postgres
Will be an advantage :
Ruby on Rails experience
SOLID principles
UI experience - CSS / React
List of technologies :
Elixir, Phoenix, ExUnit
Docker
Ruby on Rails, Rspec, Capybara
Javascript / Typescript, CSS, React
Linux, Kubernetes,Terraform,GCP
Responsibilities :
Working on tickets for the new Barbuck product, Barbuck Messaging
Potential for some existing TalkingForms bug fixes, adding new features, alternations
Some business / client support will be required at times
Expected to participate in team calls, trouble-shooting queries, and discussions as required
