Overview

This is a very dynamic and exciting company within Retail and the FMCG sector. Kencko is looking to bring in an astute Finance Director to establish and provide stewardship to the finance team and assist in driving the business forward in achieving ambitious goals.

We are looking for a self-starter with good problem-solving skills, conscientious, enthusiastic with an analytical mind and who is happy to "get the job done" and remain calm under pressure.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage the company’s accounting and financial procedures, systems and reports;
  • Provide high-quality financial advice to the Board and the management team;
  • Maintain the Fixed Asset register and the Chart of Accounts on Syspro;
  • Prepare and issue all VAT and HMRC required information in a timely manner;
  • Produce accurate, timely and relevant financial information and Key Performance Indicators reports to specific deadlines;
  • Prepare monthly management accounts with supporting analysis and commentary;
  • Monitor cash flows, forecast and the monthly cash position, and ensure that sufficient funds are available to meet on-going needs;
  • Identify, investigate, and analyse potential business improvements and propose changes to policies, systems and procedures;
  • Oversee the role of company secretary for the business;
  • Oversee the Annual Return submission and ensure any changes to Directors or shareholders are advised to Companies House;
  • Execute Payroll;
  • Execute payments to all suppliers.
  • Desired Skills and Experience

  • Fully or Part qualified ACA / ACCA or CIMA would be advantageous;
  • Experience working in a Privately owned company and dealing with investors;
  • Understanding of ecommerce business models, with previous real experience as a plus;
  • Must have extensive experience in leading and developing finance functions;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Previous experience of managing and developing a team;
  • Ability to work with a high level of accuracy and meet strict deadlines;
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment;
  • Excellent Excel skills;
  • Previous experience in a rapidly growing business;
