We're looking for a Senior Front-End Engineer who will report to the CTO, and will be responsible for designing and maintaining scalable front-end architecture for SG.
com and related web properties. You will be part of a well-motivated, talented and growing team who is dedicated to the Stadium Goods project.
Stadium Goods has participated in the Farfetch marketplace since April 2018, enjoying strong sales growth since its introduction to the platform and officially joined the Farfetch group at the end of 2018.
What you’ll do
Partner with engineering leadership to steer technical decisions about infrastructure and architecture
Work alongside partners in Engineering, Product, and QA to solve technical and product problems
Build efficient and reusable front-end systems and abstractions
Identify and resolve performance issues
Define the best implementation method and related effort to answer a given problem
Lead feature development with 1-2 more collaborators
Identify and drive code improvements, including technical debt
Author feature-specific design docs as needed
Mentor others and proactively identify opportunities to improve cohesion and capabilities of the team
Ability to make appropriate trade-offs in engineering to meet deadlines and keep shipping products that delight our customers
Supporting front-end development efforts against current system stacks while helping design the future of Stadium Goods front-end architecture
Who you are
A professional with 4+ years of experience in front-end web engineering, preferably in large scale environments
An individual with deep knowledge of design patterns and their applications
Experienced writing scalable, highly-performant and clean code
A person with strong CS fundamentals; demonstrated experience developing web interfaces using
Conscious of cross-browser compatibility issues and client-side performance considerations
Experienced in an Agile development environment
Experienced in front-end build frameworks (webpacker, gulp, yarn, etc)
Experienced dealing with SEO concerns
Experienced with e-commerce is a plus
