  • Our Head of Prime Brokerage Settlements, Funding and Payments, for EMEA and AMER, is in charge of an integral role in the ongoing management of settlements, funding and payments for the entire operational chain (and for both regions) for the hedge funds clients of the business line
  • Your Main Activities Are

  • The main objective is to deliver a high quality services without incident and with the high sense of client focus. To do so, he / she must focus his / her resource management on first training, then delegation and finally control
  • The key responsibilities include but are not limited to : Team Management : Elaborate team members’ job descriptions with direct management.
  • Participate to the recruitment process Set objectives and assure appraisal process for team members in coordination with direct manager Manage vacations, absences and plan team presence in public holiday Work actively on team building and conflict management Maintain regular team meetings Training and Support to Daily Activities Act as subject matter expert and provide a first level of support to the team Ensure that procedures are updated and validated on a timely manner Identify training needs and develop accordingly training plans and training sessions Ensure quality and deadlines are meet for daily activity processing Plan, direct and assign the daily work of the team Manage escalations raised by the team or the clients Escalate issues when appropriate Control and Supervision Monitor frequently objectives status and take appropriate corrective action when required Identify risks and implement supervisory controls Monitor that all tasks are processed accurately and on a timely manner Business Development Participate in new projects and contribute to the development of client relationships Stimulate innovation spirit within the team and suggest processes enhancement ideas Ad-hoc projects when required Participate to IT prioritization committee, ensuring key developments are released Reports and KPI's Making the necessary reports and statistics of the work and the team

    Profile and Skills to Success

  • Bachelor degree in Business, Economics or Finance
  • Up to 2 years of financial industry experience with an emphasis on local and global clearing and managing operations staff required and extremely detailed & control orientated
  • Ability to work under strong pressure is compulsory
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple priorities while respecting tight deadlines
  • Ability to develop and document processes and procedures
  • Experience supporting new business / business growth and creating operational capacity
  • Excellent analytical skills and problem solving skills
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, train, manage and motivate staff
  • Project Management background and overall IT knowledge is a plus
  • Well-developed written and verbal communicative skills supporting an ability to represent the group at senior levels
  • Strong involvement and good communication skills with client
