Your Role

This is your opportunity to build and run the cloud Data Platform for Kuehne+Nagel that will excite data owners and data consumers across business and IT units alike! You start on the green field within the newly founded data-driven and cloud-based incubator project KN New IT Ecosystem (KNITE).

Your Responsibilities

Build and run the Data Platform and its underlying infrastructure with a mindset of true end-to-end responsibility;

Implement core functionality on the platform that derives from non-functional requirements of connected applications and developers using the platform;

Support use cases of developers, producers, consumers and governance stakeholders with rigorous automation and self-service capabilities on the platform;

Provide and maintain infrastructure templates shared with the other KNITE products teams;

Build up and operate the Data pillar of the KNITE program in the cloud you are joining us in an early project state and therefore have a lot of opportunity to influence, shape, and design

Your Skills and Experiences

You have either ample hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (optimally AWS) or with operating data platforms (optimally based on Snowflake);

Experience in building up solutions that do not reinvent the wheel but can rather themselves serve as blueprints for tackling similar or even new challenges;

You optimally have some experience with hybrid infrastructures, i.e. connecting the cloud and the on-premise world in a secure and reliable way;

Collaborative work in international teams inspires you;

Very good knowledge of English, both spoken and written;
